In 1999 Byron (By) Athan retired from the Army and started a second career in the private sector. In the Army he held leadership positions in Air Defense Artillery and the Acquisition Corps with assignments worldwide. As a member of the Acquisition Corps, he worked in both Contracting and Program Manager positions developing, procuring, and maintaining weapon systems, C3 systems, and IT programs. By’s career in industry started with SNVC, a small information technology company. Over 11 years he performed as a business analyst, program manager, business developer, and Chief Operating Officer. In 2010 By had the opportunity to accept a senior vice president of Business Development with MicroTech, a midsized IT technology integrator. In 2012 he and Bill Lytle founded TechAnax to continue to fulfill their desire to provide the best information technology and management solutions to customers.

Bill Lytle is TechAnax’s Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Mr. Lytle is responsible for supporting the President & CEO and providing strategic direction for all aspects of the business with a focus on corporate growth, marketing, business development strategies, and the implementation of corporate vision, mission, and values.
Bill has led major business development, capture and proposal efforts resulting in over $1 billion in awards within DISA, Army, Air Force, National Guard Bureau, FBI, General Services Administration, Department of the Interior, Federal Communications Commission, Social Security Administration, Department of Agriculture and the Department of Homeland Security to name a few.
Bill has over 25 years’ experience in information technology leadership with the federal government / private sector and has been instrumental in the success and growth of midsized and small business companies. Prior to co-founding TechAnax, Mr. Lytle held various management positions within MicroTech over a 2 ½ year period. Prior to MicroTech, Bill spent 12 years with SNVC, a small veteran owned IT solutions company that he helped grow from $0 to $20 million during his time as a co-owner. During that time he served in several positions; Sr. Program Manager, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, VP of Capture, Quality Assurance Manager and Board of Director.
Bill is a member of Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), has sat on the AFCEA International Technology Committee and is also a member of the American Council for Technology (ACT) - Industry Advisory Council (IAC), the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP). Bill is also involved with the Coalition for Government Procurement, Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA).
